People have said it before but no, you don't have to play 1 to play 2. It feels a little barren if you're a person who focuses on story, like me.
The game implies that your characters are doing their story on their own, without others to join with them. There's no like, slow character development of the cast becoming more of a family like in FF5. If you played many JRPGs in the past I think this is a pro to you.Īlso it has Jobs, so if you liked making a character strong through Jobs in FF5 or FFTactics then you know what you're getting into right there.īasically Final Fantasy is becoming an Action RPG game style, and if you don't want to go to Dragon Quest (Please go to Dragon Quest, I love that series too) then this is the best way to get that retro RPG fix.Ĭons: Honestly, the game can kinda drag on a little, and the characters don't interact with each other enough. Maybe less six, because that was super steampunk compared, but you get the idea.
Pros: It's like the oldenday RPGs, like FFs 1-6. I am on this reddit only to trawl the boards and tell people not to play it because it's very bad.
